E&Y advises on Yorkshire hospital deal
ADVISERS from Ernst & Young in Manchester acted in the sale of a private hospital in Yorkshire to health services operator Aspen Healthcare.
The Claremont Hospital, in Sheffield, has been sold by not-for-profit organisation The Hospital Management Trust.
John Randle, executive director at The Hospital Management Trust, said: “The sale of Claremont Hospital is part of our wider strategy to divest out of hospitals to focus on grant giving and care of the elderly.”
Ernst & Young directors Andy Morris and Mark Gerold and executives Mark Finlay and Ed Gale from the firm’s North West mergers and acquisitions team were lead advisers to The Hospital Management Trust.
Aspen Healthcare already operates three hospitals and an outpatient cancer centre in London as well as a day patient clinic in Edinburgh.
