NW PRs are the pick of the bunch

THE Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR)’s North West group has won the organisation’s National/Regional Group of the Year Award for work carried out in 2009.
The annual award recognises the outstanding contribution of the CIPR groups to the Institute’s work in raising industry standards.
CIPR president Kevin Taylor, who presented the award, said: “Every year the CIPR recognises the hard work, dedication and achievements of its groups and the committees that run them.
“The North West group ran an impressive programme of events in 2009 and their chair Dave Sanders was very active as a CIPR spokesperson both regionally and nationally.
“I commend the group on continuously promoting key industry messages to different audiences, adding to the ‘voice’ of the CIPR.”
Dave Sanders, chair of CIPR North West said: “We are really pleased and honoured with this recognition from the CIPR, which reflects this group’s ongoing commitment to provide real value to members in the region.
“We are one of 14 national and regional groups so to win this award is a considerable achievement for the committee who have worked hard to deliver a full programme of networking and professional events.
“We’ve been delighted with the support and fantastic response from our members and this award will only serve to drive us on even more in our efforts to add value to their membership of the CIPR.”
