Traffic surges 70% at TheBusinessDesk.com

TheBusinessDesk.com has seen a 70% leap in traffic in the last month as more NW business leaders sign up for our daily news alerts.

The site has seen a 3,000 surge in registered users in the last month.

The online business news website, which launched in the North West less than two years ago now has 21,000 registered users – and serves many of the region’s key decision makers.

Boosted by the migration of thousands of former readers of Crains Manchester Business, traffic to the site has soared 70% increase over the last month and we now now average 5,000 visits each working day.

TheBusinessDesk.com struck a deal with Crains to redirect users from its Manchester website to www.TheBusinessDesk.com. Recipients of Crains’ daily email alert were also contacted to offer them our morning email alerts, to ensure they continued to receive key business news daily.

In addition to the recent growth, TheBusinessDesk has recruited Mike Fahy as Assistant Editor in the North West.

Mike was previously deputy editor at Crains Manchester Business, and before that edited EN, the magazine for entrepreneurs.

Chris Barry, North West Editor of TheBusinessDesk.com said: “We are pleased to be serving increasing numbers of key business people across the region.

“Mike Fahy’s addition to our team is also a big plus, as he is a well-respected journalist with great contacts and an eye for a story.”
