Provexis starts to see fruits of its labour

PROVEXIS, the life science business that develops sports nutrition products, has said that it has begun producing its Fruitflow powder on an industrial scale.

The company described this as “an important step” in the development of its products, given the commercial interest that had been shown by consumer brands in selling tablet and capsule forms of the product. Samples of both are currently being developed by the firm’s partner, DSM Nutritional Products.

Similarly, it said that sales of its existing Fruitflow syrup product were underway in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Although these are not expected to generate significant revenues in the current financial year, the firm said that these limited sales “are an important indicator that Fruitflow” is gaining acceptance in the market”.

Provexis has said that it has also identified a useful application for Fruitflow within the Science in Sport business which was bought last year and has been moved to a new production site in East Lancashire.
