Nanoco gains new partner

NANOCO Group has signed a new joint development agreement with a major electronics company in Asia.

The Manchester University spin-out, which is exploiting cadmium-free quantum dots for use in next-generation electronic equipment, said the joint development agreement will see the partners look to use its product in display equipment. If successful, it could be the first of many similar deals it signs with the same company.

Michael Edelman, Nanoco’s chief executive officer, said: “We’re delighted to have signed this joint development agreement with a major electronics company in Asia.

“This agreement further extends our involvement in the display market and increases the number of countries in which we have commercial relationships.”
