Property round-up: Stobart sells stake in London property; and more

STOBART Properties has sold its 20% stake in One Plantation Place Unit Trust, owner of the Plantation Place office building in the city.

The company was one of a number of shareholders in the trust, and said it had achieved net proceeds of £8.1m from its investment.

ROBOTICS company Kawasaki has taken a 10,000 sq ft unit at Easter Court, Warrington.

Easter Court is an area containing both warehouse and office space within the Gemini Business Park in Warrington. The unit was let by CBRE, which is joint agent for the scheme alongside Eileen Bilton.

Kawasaki joins existing occupiers on the site such as ink cartridge manufacturer Lasertech and aircraft engineering company, Aerocare.

Paul Cook, director of Industrial Agency at CBRE, said: “Easter Court provides Kawasaki with high quality space in a convenient location between Liverpool and Manchester.”

GAMING machines distributor Crown Direct has taken a 20,600 sq ft a Northern Trust-owned unit at Martland Park in Wigan.

The 30 year-old company leases gaming and arcade machines, including a new Robot Football product recently featured on The Gadget Show. It has taken a five-year lease on a single-storey warehouse unit at Hillridge Road.

Dean Harding, managing director at Crown Direct, said: “Our new premises are situated in an ideal location within the established Martland Park Industrial Estate in Wigan. Our decision to relocate was simple, and the Whittle Jones team helped to make our move effortless.”

John Marrow, regional property manager at Whittle Jones, which advised Northern Trust on the letting, said: “We are delighted that Crown Direct chose Martland Park as their location to relocate. The Northern Trust-owned part of the estate is now home to six companies and we are hopeful we will be able to announce further lettings in the near future.”

Standalone units on the site range in size from 7,307 sq ft up to 23,600 sq ft.
