Score new business with China visit

BUSINESSES looking to tap into the potentially lucrative Chinese market will have the opportunity to join visits to coincide with tours by Manchester’s football teams next month.
A trade visit taking in Beijing, Shanghai and the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur is being organised by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) North West between 21-31 July. The visit is being organised in co-operation with the British Consulate in Shanghai, the embassy in Beijing, the China-Britain Business Council and the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.
UKTI said the visit will be of particular interest to firms in the education & training, environmental technologies, advanced engineering, professional services and the digital & creative sectors. uKTI is also offering a limited number of Market Visit Support grants of up to £820 for companies looking to join the trip.
UK exports of goods and services to China increased to £9.7bn in 2010, while Malaysia is the UK’s second-largest export market in South East Asia.
