Bruntwood accounts for a third of Manchester office take-up in H1

BRUNTWOOD secured 37% of the total take-up of office space in Manchester city centre in the first half of 2012.

Between January and June, take-up of office space in Manchester city centre totalled 302,564 sq ft, according to the Manchester Office Agents Forum figures, with Bruntwood responsible for 112,000 sq ft of the deals.

The commercial property company has also secured a further hat-trick of new customers to Centurion House, Deansgate.

Property adviser Matthews & Goodman property has taken 2,376 sq ft, corporate finance adviser Rickitt Mitchell has taken 2,246 sq ft and A2E Venture Catalysts, the investment banking specialists and W T Burden Group, the largest UK provider of logistics and products to the utilities and infrastructure sectors, have jointly taken 2,378 sq ft. This takes total occupancy at Centurion House to 80%.

Andrew Cowewll, Bruntwood’s head of Manchester sales, said: “These new lettings represent a great mix of professional companies taking residency at Centurion House. The building is in a great location and being located directly opposite Spinningfields means you get the best of both worlds with stunning refurbished office suites and some of the best views of the city; all with a central Deansgate address and without the Spinningfields price tag.”
