The Green Printer Company secures Rosebud funding

A LANCASHIRE company that recycles laser printers has secured a loan from Lancashire County Council’s Rosebud Fund to finance its growth plans.
The Green Printer Company, based in Adlington, caters for the growing demand for refurbished printers and supplies from businesses and schools, as well as office equipment dealers.
The company currently employs seven people, but expects to create seven new jobs in the next 18 months.
The new funding, which was undisclosed, will enable it to meet a major increase in demand for its managed print service.
Colin Relfe, managing director, said: “The success of The GreenPrinter Company reflects the increasing demand for refurbished printers, which are a less costly and more environmentally friendly choice than new products.
“However we also act as a one-stop shop for all customers’ printer needs. Increasingly people are choosing our managed print service as it offers greater efficiency and convenience. The business is well positioned to grow and the Rosebud loan provides us with the investment we need to exploit the opportunities.”
The Rosebud Fund is provided by Lancashire County Developments Limited and managed by venture capital firm Enterprise Ventures.
County councillor Michael Green, cabinet member for economic development, environment and planning, said: “Rosebud has been helping Lancashire businesses to fund growth and development for over 25 years. At a time when many companies are having difficulty in accessing bank finance, it is now more relevant than ever.”
