Housing associations to create £120m framework

A GROUP of nine housing associations are putting together a £120m contractor framework.

JV North is looking for contractors to carry out building work over a two-year period in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire and the Midlands.

The housing asociations behind the framework are: AKSA Housing in Oldham; Eastland Homes, Willow Park Housing Trust and Parkway Green Housing – all in Manchester; Helena Partnership in St Helens; Liverpool Mutual Homes; Trafford Housing Trust; and Weaver Vale Housing Trust in Northwich.

The framework is divided into four lots based on the location of the work which could range in value from £40m-£120m depending on the level of funding available.

JV North, which is registered in Ashton, said the deadline for tenders is October 8.
