Flying start for GrowthAccelerator programme

THE first GrowthAccelerator, aimed at inspiring SMEs to target further growth, attracted more than 200 people.
A Government-led initative, GrowthAccelerator, is holding eight nationwide networking events with prominent business leaders sharing the secrets of their success.
Ellis Watson, chief executive of publishing house DC Thomson and a former executive with Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment, was the guest speaker at the Manchester event, held at MOSI.
The event was hosted by Michael Taylor, the former business journalist who now chairs lobbying and networking group Downtown Manchester in Business.
He said: “GrowthAccelerator represents a new movement that has decided to not take part in this recession and instead, power forward and identify opportunities for growth.
“There is no doubt that business conditions are as tough as ever, but the launch of GrowthAccelerator is a call out to businesses that have aptitude, attitude, ambition and capability for growth.
” This is the launch of a journey for businesses and entrepreneurs and GrowthAccelerator’s unique selling point is a network of passionate specialist coaches who can really add value to any business determined to grow.”
GrowthAccelerator offers personalised support to high growth businesses and has a nationwide network of over 800 coaching experts – people who have started, managed and grown highly successful ventures in a wide range of market sectors.
GrowthAccelerator’s networking events are now being rolled out nationwide. Events have taken place in Leeds and Liverpool before moving on to Nottingham, Bristol, Sheffield, and Birmingham,
