Expansion planned following buyout at Genesis
PATRICK Bell, managing director of Cheshire-based recruitment firm Genesis Associates, has bought out his business partners.
Genesis, based in Handforth, employs approximately 30 staff providing interim, contract and permanent sales and engineering staff for privately-owned and blue chip business clients worldwide.
Mr Bell has acquired the shareholdings of Darren Cornwall and Ian Blackhurst for an undisclosed sum.
He now plans to expand the firm’s engineering recruitment arm, which will mean taking on on 15 staff and moving to bigger offices.
He said: “It is very much a case of business as usual for our clients, candidates and colleagues, but plans for the New Year include an expansion into larger offices, growth of our UK sales and international engineering operations and a 50% headcount increase over the next 12 months.”
Iain Round and Paul Shaw, partners of Manchester-based accountancy firm Beever and Struthers advised on the deal, along with James Sheridan and Robin Hastings of Manchester law firm Turner Parkinson.
