Radisson Blu adds champagne bar

MANCHESTER’S RADISSON Blu Edwardian hotel has opened a new stand-alone champagne bar in the glass-fronted colonnade of its Opus One restaurant.

The five-star hotel built around the historic Free Trade Hall, recently announced plans to expand into the next-door Theatre Royal buiding.

The new champagne bar is called Reserve @ Opus One and offers an extensive selection of champagnes across a wide range of price brackets, from £9.90 for a glass, up to £341 for a bottle of Louis Roederer Cristal Brut.

Those with even deeper pockets can splash out £835 on a magnum of Krug Grande Cuvée Brut.

The menu at Reserve comprises a selection of small tapas-style taster plates, designed to compliment champagne.

General Manager Stephen Miles, commented, “The Free Trade Hall is a heritage spot in the city; it’s only fitting that we created a space, where guests can experience this history and simply indulge and enjoy our collection of premium and vintage champagnes.”
