Appointments: DTZ hires and promotes; Havas PR & more

COMMERCIAL property adviser DTZ has made a key appointment and announced three promotions in its Manchester consulting team.
Newcomer is Ben Pretty, who joins as a senior consultant, while Neil Riley has been promoted to associate director, Heather Standidge to senior consultant and Josaphine Ford joins the team as consultant after qualifying as a chartered surveyor.
Caroline Baker, director of consulting at the Manchester office said: “This appointment and trio of promotions demonstrates DTZ’s confidence in Manchester’s consulting team. It indicates the strength and breadth of our consulting offer, which we believe is unrivalled in the market.”
The firm has also strengthened several other departments with David Legat joining as associate director in the retail agency unit and Steve Smith (senior surveyor) and Oliver Moorhouse (surveyor) recruited to the residential, land and student valuation and agency team.

HAVAS PR UK – the agency formerly known as Euro RSCG and before that Biss Lancaster – has recruited four new members of staff at its Manchester office.
Oonagh Spence has joined the agency from Rain Communications in London as a senior account manager, Heidi Boden from RMS PR in Altrincham as an account manager and account executives Lucy Turvey and Victoria Murray complete the list of new recruits.
Managing director Brian Beech, head of the 22-strong Manchester office said: ” “We’ve posted growth yet again this year, which is no mean feat and the new additions to the team are going to help us build on that success in 2013.”

LEISURE group De Vere has appointed a new spa manager at its recently-revamped Mottram Hall Hotel in Cheshire.
Linda Crosby, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the beauty industry, will lead a team of seven at the Mottram Club and Spa. She has worked for the DeVere group spa division for the past three years after founding two day spas in Dublin.
