Lettings latest: Canmoor, Rainford and Genesis

CANMOOR has secured three lettings in its North West industrial portfolio, with over 50,000 sq ft leased at Heywood Distribution Park near Bury, and 2,470 sq ft at its Longwood Park, Trafford Park.

Logistics group Kuehne & Nagel has taken 41,900 sq ft to expand its existing operation at Heywood Distribution Park while commercial vehicle breakdown firm FAM Commercials has taken 9,180 sq ft.

Globe Transport Products, specialist supplier of quality replacement truck parts for Scania, Volvo and DAF commercial vehicles, has taken 2,470 sq ft at Longwood Park.

Neil Buck, general manager at Kuehne & Nagel, said: “As an existing customer with Canmoor it made sense to expand at Heywood Distribution Park as we can manage and monitor stock more effectively.”

Jones Lang LaSalle and B8 Real Estate are the retained agents on Longwood Park, Trafford Park. The two agents work with Savills on Heywood Distribution Park.

THE Manchester office of accountancy firm Smith & Williamson has taken space at Vantage Point, Spinningfields.

It has moved from space at Begbies Traynor’s office on Deansgate to a 2,000 sq ft suite on a five-year lease.

Partner Leo Coyle said: “We are delighted to have relocated to the heart of this vibrant business district.  The new office gives us an independent location and our intention, in due course, is to increase our current numbers to provide a full tax offering.”

RAINFORD Solutions, a provider of electrical cabinets, enclosures, and cable management systems, has expanded its operation in Rainford, St Helens.

It has added a further 13,500 sq ft to its 80,000 sq ft base at Mill Lane.

Head of business development Philip Harris said: “As our products become more integrated it is in our and our client’s best interest to improve our operations.

“The new site will provide us with the space and flexibility required to handle the increasing demand.”

RECRUITER Genesis Associates has agreed a five-year lease for 3,204 sq ft at Freedom House in Wilmslow.

CBRE, acting for Genesis agreed a rent of £14/sq ft with landlord, the Tannen Group.

Michelle Rothwell of CBRE said: “We worked very closely with our client to fully understand their requirements and to ensure that we sourced the right product to suit their needs. It is a positive sign that a recruitment company is looking to expand in this market and we were pleased to have been able to secure this deal for them.”
