Liverpool relaunches junior chamber

A JUNIOR chamber of commerce has been re-launched in Liverpool.
The city’s original junior chamber closed in 1993 but now the city has joined Junior Chamber International (JCI) which is aimed at people aged between 19 and 41.
Members will be part of an international network that has 200,000 members and spans 100 countries.
Deputy Lord Mayor of Liverpool, councillor Gary Millar, said: “If you are a young person in business and you want to get ahead, this is the network for you. JCI will help young professionals to develop their skills, expand their experience and have fun at the same time.
“We want to empower young people and there is a real desire in the Liverpool business community to nurture new talent and JCI Liverpool is a great way to tap into this resource. With the right help fledgling talent can go on to develop entire industries and we want this to happen in Liverpool.”
JCI Liverpool will be led by a voluntary board of directors made up of young professionals in the city, including Michelle Fellowes, business performance coach at Ambitious Change; Tawhid Islam, partner at Islam and Co; Kartik Rajput, business specialist at HSBC; and Kai Graf von Pahlen, solicitor at Hill Dickinson.
