Aaron & Partners in Shropshire swoop

NORTH West law firm Aaron & Partners has expanded into the Midlands with the acquisition of Shrewsbury practice Bennett’s Legal.

Bennett’s Legal managing director Paul Bennett, who founded the practice in 2009, will join Aaron & Partners as a partner.  All staff will join the Chester firm and the office will be rebranded Aaron & Partners.

Aaron & Partners has also pledged to grow the team in Shrewsbury, which is expected to be earning fees of at least £1m a year within the next three years.

Shrewsbury will become Aaron & Partners’ third office after Chester and Manchester.

The move is the latest step in planned expansion by Aaron & Partners, which gained Alternative Business Status (ABS) in January.

Aaron & Partners’ chief executive Andy Duxbury, said: “This acquisition will give us a presence in Shrewsbury where our client base has been growing for some time as well as giving us a platform to expand into new markets and deliver specialist legal services across Shropshire.

“Paul and his team are bringing valuable local knowledge. Several of the most senior Aaron & Partners staff are already known in the area and can now make use of the Shrewsbury office to further develop the great connections we have.

“Above all, though, we want to grow the office by means of local recruitment of specialists in our key market sectors.”

Aaron & Partners employs 102 people in total.
