Lettings latest: HCA woos M2 Global & more

M2 Global Investments has agreed a deal with the Homes and Communities Agency to move into 3,952 sq ft of office space at 27 Blossom Street in the heart of Ancoats Urban Village.
M2, the accommodation provider for a group of companies supplying direct sales and marketing services, M2 has signed a lease for the Victorian building which spans over three floors.
Deborah McLaughlin, executive director for the HCA in the North West, said: “This lease for M2 is great news and forms part of the overall Ancoats Development strategy to occupy and improve the area.
“This exciting area has just seen the Halle orchestra take up St. Peter’s church as rehearsal space and the New Islington Free School is scheduled for opening in September.
“There’s also the new convenience store, cycle café and since Christmas work has restarted at Royal Mills and Sarah Point to create brand new homes.
“I feel we’re creating a real hub for business, social enterprise and culture in the city fringe and it’s great to see so much life now coming to the area.”
Matthew Bambroffe, director from M2 Global Investments, added: “The property has lots of original features, great views which overlook the new cutting room public square and is close by to the marina.
“The offices will be perfect for M2 and we plan to rename the building as ‘The Cotton House’. We should have everyone relocated and in their new office by May 20 2013.”

CBRE has acquired 10,870 sq ft at Phoenix Park on Blakewater Road in Blackburn on behalf of electronic cigarette company CN Creative.
CN Creative, which has moved from its previous premises in Accrington, has agreed a three year lease for the detached two storey office building at a headline rental level of £10.00 per sq ft.
Michelle Rothwell of CBRE comments: “This is the largest office letting to have been agreed in Blackburn this year and is indicative of a growing confidence that we are seeing from occupiers who are now actively looking to acquire new premises.”

CAR dealership giant Inchcape has occupied a 2,924 sq ft unit on Stretford Motorway Estate in Trafford Park.
Inchcape agreed a nine-year lease on Unit 21 in a deal brokered by joint letting agents Colliers International and Altus Edwin Hill on behalf of Threadneedle Investments, landlord of the Estate.
