Trimega Labs reveals £1m growth investment

A DRUG and alcohol testing company is investing more than £1m in expanding its north Manchester laboratory facilities.

Trimega Laboratories, which works for law firms, general practitioners, local authorities, corporate clients and consumers, is basd at the Hexagon Tower, Blackley – the science park on on the site for the former ICI R&D base.

The expansion, which has boosted emplyee numbers by seven to 45,  comes on the back of an increase in demand for the testing for harmful substances and substance abuse.

Trimega uses the latest technology to provide accurate and reliable services for drug and alcohol testing and the extension of the laboratory will enable it to provide additional new services alongside its hair testing service, including oral fluid, urine and DNA testing.

The expansion will also include a new analytical suite, a reception area and additional office space.

Hexagon Tower has recently joined the Business Environments for Science and Technology (BEST) network, which is the largest portfolio of science parks in the UK.
