Jobs saved in Leapfrog pre-pack

BOLTON-based interactive screen distributor Leapfrog Group has been sold in a pre-pack administration, saving 10 jobs.

Begbies Traynor was appointed to handle the case following a winding up petition by HMRC after Leapfrog breached a Time to Pay arrangement.

The business was set up and owned by Lee Bevan who was a director along with Michelle Bevan. She is the sole director of Leapfrog Technologies, the vehicle used to buy the Leapfrog assets.

Begbies said the sale was conducted with the support of the secured creditor and the largest trade creditor.

Partner Gary Lee said: “The immediacy of this sale meant the company’s future and the jobs of its 10 staff could be saved before further actions were taken.

“The support of the other parties involved was crucial to the speed at which we could agree a deal, and the pre-pack arrangement means customers and suppliers will benefit from a continuity of service delivery.”
