Appointments: Planning partners join Shoosmiths; Tangerine PR; Selleck promotes &more

LAW firm Shoosmiths has boosted its planning team with the appointment of two new partners in Manchester.
Lisa Tye and Kathryn Jump have joined as partners at the national law firm’s Manchester office. Both were previously with Weightmans where they were associates.
Their arrival brings the number of Shoosmiths specialist planning lawyers to 11.
National head of planning, Kirsten Hewson said: “Lisa and Kathryn will help manage the Manchester planning operation, dealing with strategic national projects, where senior level input is essential, particularly concerning compulsory purchase orders.”
The pair,who have worked together for many years, specialise in regeneration and mixed-use schemes, acting for major supermarkets, developers, housebuilders, utility companies, and local authorities.
Planning team clients include IKEA, English Heritage. It also acted for property investor and developer Allied London when it teamed-up with Manchester City Council to buy the former Granada TV studios site in Manchester.

TANGERINE PR has boosted its senior team with the appointment of Adele Wilson to the new role of head of strategic insight and planning.
Ms Wilson, who has held senior planning roles in leading creative firms including CheethamBell JWT and McCanns, will be developing the agency’s strategic offer across the B2C and B2B teams.

TAYLORS, the Blackburn and Manchester-based law firm, has made its secodn hire of 2014, adding Roger Clayson to its commercial property team.
Mr Clayson, who joins the firm as an associate, will be based at the firm’s Manchester office and will support Colette Johnson, head of commercial property.
He previously ran his own advisory business, prior to that, he was legal director at Addleshaw Goddard.

NORTH West finance and legal recruitment specialist, Sellick Partnership has promoted Anna Gibbons to the new role of corporate communications director.
Working for the Manchester business since 2007, she has held a marketing management position, with the responsibility of strengthening the Sellick Partnership brand across the legal and finance sectors throughout the UK.

CHORLEY marketing communications agency, The Write Angle, has recruited two new members to its expanding team.
Emma Wimpeney and Rachel Mann have joined as account manager and PR assistant respectively.
The appointments follow several new client wins for the agency. Managing director Angela Smith says: “Both new team members bring first-class knowledge, experience and plenty of enthusiasm to an already dynamic team.
