Student landlords in £9m sell-off

MANCHESTER student landlords are disposing of 40 properties in a £9m sale.

Three lots covering homes in Fallowfield, Rusholme and Withington are being handled by agent Flax & Co.

The sell-off comes as more students opt for purpose-built accommodation in the city centre, rather than suburban house shares.

One lot is valued at £3.1m and has 10 properties, another has 20 valued at £3.8m and the third has nine houses with a value of £2m.

Some of the houses are situated in streets dominated by student lets, such as Mabfield Road, off Wilmslow Road in Fallowfield.
