Disgraced businessman Seville banned for four years

A DISGRACED businessman jailed for online child pornography offences has now been banned from acting as a company director.
Craig Seville, from Springhead, Oldham, the director of a Blackpool company which provided staff for pilot training, charter flights and aircraft maintenance, has been disqualified from acting as a director for four years, for causing his company to trade to the detriment of HM Revenue & Customs.
The disqualification follows an investigation by the Insolvency Service.
Seville, 38, a former commercial pilot who ran several businesses based at Blackpool Airport, was jailed last February for three years and four months.
In the HMRC case, he did not dispute that he caused Command Aviation Limited (‘Command Aviation’) to trade to the detriment of (HMRC) and confirmed that he concealed this situation from other directors of the company.
The investigation found that during the period of trading from July 2010, Command Aviation had income in excess of £1.6m but did not pay tax (PAYE) or National Insurance (NIC) worth over £170,000. The company also made only one payment of £8,000 for VAT leaving £37,000 unpaid. In the same period Mr Seville transferred over of £940,000 to other companies under his control.
