FreshStart refurbs Liverpool tower

A SALFORD developer is refurbishing a former local authority tower block on the edge of Liverpool city centre.

FreshStart is renovating the 15-storey block with an associated company Wrightchoice Developments, based in Swinton.

The building, Bispham House on Lace Street, was built in the 1960s and transferred from council ownership in the 1990s.

It was previously the subject of a renovation by FM Developments which went into administration last year before the job was completed.

FreshStart acquired the site from administrators and plans to market the refurbished apartments as affordable housing. It is also working on several other schemes at former local authority tower blocks.
