McGoff & Byrne secures £14m Butlins contract

ALTRINCHAM-based McGoff & Byrne has been appointed by Bourne Leisure, the owner and operator of Butlins, to manage the first phase of a redevelopment at its site in Minehead, Somerset.
 
The £14.6m contract involves McGoff & Byrne taking control of the build and fit-out of 117 chalets around two lakes.

Director Dave McGoff said: “The whole team is extremely proud to have been appointed by Bourne Leisure. Butlins is long established and remains incredibly popular and we are honoured to be involved in enhancing the experience for future generations.”

Ian Cutler, head of property at Bourne Leisure, said: “We were hugely impressed with the proposal put forward by McGoff & Byrne and look forward to working with them on this exciting first phase at Minehead. By enhancing the accommodation offering and introducing more open space and water features we aim to add to the overall experience for couples, families and corporates and make their stay with us even more memorable.”

The architect for the scheme is Disley-based Allison Pike.
