BROTHER UK, the Manchester-headquartered technology equipment supplier, has appointed a new leadership team as it prepares to expand into business services.

All members of the team are existing employees who have been promoted as non-statutory directors reporting to managing director Phil Jones.

Louise Marshall will take the role of infrastructure and shared services director, Dave Peters has been appointed as development & strategy director;  Keith Howe has become supply chain & service director and Andy Forsyth, who has led the Japanese company’s UK sales and marketing function for the past three years, is now sales and marketing director.

Phil Jones said: “This new structure signals the four major functions designed to support the business as we expand our offer to include solutions and services across our portfolio.

“We recognise that the future success of our business is very much down to the quality of talent we attract and retain, plus our relevancy with customers.”

CLARION Wealth Planning, a Knutsford firm of chartered financial planners that specialises in first and second-generation business owners, has appointed Iain Keen as finance manager.

He joins from Manchester-based accountancy practice Simpson Burgess Nash, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. This is his first role in industry.

In addition to providing day-to-day support to operations manager Simon Baggott, Keen will produce management accounts, long-term cashflow forecasts and other information.

Managing director Ron Walker said: “Iain’s appointment is a key marker in our growth strategy. This is a complex business with many outgoings and sources of income. We have been growing at quite a pace, meaning that the day-to-day accounts workload has been increasing rapidly. Iain will provide a significant fillip in dealing with this – but his real value will be in providing us with the information and insights we need to continue this growth in a planned and profitable manner over the years to come.”
