In Brief: Stephensons; Odgers Interim

LAW Firm Stephensons has taken more space in London and hired extra staff after a year in the capital.
The firm now has 5,000 sq ft at One Lyric Square in Hammersmith and has added 15 staff taking the total to 17.
The team offers residential conveyancing services, as well as regulatory defence and commercial legal services.
Tom Bridge, managing partner of the residential property department at Stephensons, said: “Our expansion into London has enabled us to offer a truly national service for the first time. Our conveyancing services have been so in demand due to the fact that we can offer the efficiencies of a larger law practice, an array of specialisms, backed by almost 40 years of experience in helping people to move home.
“But it’s not just people buying and selling homes that we have been assisting in Hammersmith and surrounding areas. We have also conducted a large number of lease extensions on leasehold properties as well as developing our auction services too.”
Stephensons has its headquarters in Leigh and 400 staff across 10 offices.

RECRUITMENT firm Odgers Interim saw turnover rise 22% to £33.5m in the year to April.
Odgers Interim, part of Odgers Berndtson, specialises in placing managers for interim roles.
It has eight offices across the country, including one in Manchester.
Managing director Grant Speed said: “These results are positive news for the firm but for us it’s all about planning for the future and building on what we’ve already achieved.
“The economy is looking stronger – and confidence is growing – so it’s vital to ensure our offering is tailored to what’s actually needed and where the demand is coming from. We’ve worked hard to understand our clients, the factors that affect their individual sectors and how the skills of our interims can add value. That is at the core of our business and won’t change as we continue to grow and develop over the coming years.”
