Allcare expands and upgrades

MERSEYSIDE-based Allcare Community Care Services has acquired a Southport healthcare business and refurbished an existing facility.
Allcare Community Care Services has bought the Southport branch of domiciliary care provider Direct Health Group for £900,000 and also invested £250,000 to upgrade a care home in Wallasey. It received backing from the Royal Bank of Scotland’s healthcare team based in Liverpool.
Allcare previously owned and ran the Southport care operation before selling it to Direct Health Group. The branch provides a range of domiciliary care facilities designed to allow elderly people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
Allcare is owned and managed by the Oakden family who have operated care facilities in Merseyside for more than 14 years.
Pauline Oakden, said: “There is a strong demand for both residential and domicilary care facilities in Merseyside and our aim is to provide residents with the highest standard of care either in their own homes or alternatively in one of our properties.”
