Seddon gets on Lancashire’s £80m select list

BOLTON constructor Seddon has been appointed to Lancashire County Council’s £80m select list for building contracts.

The company could be in line for millions of pounds of work thanks to the appointment, which will see the company considered for building works worth up to £4m.

Lancashire will release projects across education, leisure, social care, civic and corporate, office, landscaping, environmental, external works and playing fields through the list.

The council expects to allocate a total of £80 million of works through the list over a four- year period.

Across Lancashire, Seddon currently has £66m of projects in construction across a variety of sectors.

Carl Wilde, Seddon’s regional director for the North West, said: “We have a strong reputation for delivering projects across in the North West and are delighted to have been appointed to Lancashire’s select list for building projects.

“We look forward to working with the council to deliver its ambitious build programmes over the next four years.”

Lancashire County Council’s select list is also available to be used by borough councils across the county and public bodies, including the fire service, NHS, colleges and academies.
