Kingdom Security beefs-up in food sector

KINGDOM Security, the national provider of boyguards, office cleaners, reception and concierge services, has acquired a small regional firm.
St Helens-based Kingdom has bought Wirral business CDO Group, adding £4m in revenues, taking its turnover to £90m and staff numbers to more than 4,000.
CDO, based in Birkenhead, has around 160 staff and specialises in the food security sector. It was owned by Barry Graham, Daniel Davies and Peter Moss.
Terry Barton, majority shareholder and managing director of Kingdom said “Our ambition is to grow each of the 10 sectors we currently specialise in. This acquisition enhances our food sector portfolio and represents the continued desire for Kingdom to increase significantly its market share and to develop further its current extensive customer base.
“Barry Graham, CDO director, also joins Kingdom supported by his quality team of talented people. We look forward to meeting with our new customers and maintaining the high level of service they have grown accustomed to and building on the current portfolio and success with innovative service offerings whilst being able to offer an additional quality service solution to Kingdom customers.”
Kingdom was founded in 1993 with just seven security officers and it is now one of the largest privately owned companies in sector.
Services range from security and cleaning, and include mobile patrol, alarm response, environmental protection, intelligence and specialist support.
