Skelmersdale regeneration is Real deal
REPRESENTATIVES from St Modwen, Reel Cinemas and West Lancashire Borough Council have gathered to mark a significant step forward in the Skelmersdale Town Centre regeneration project.
Reel Cinema has completed a 15-year lease agreement with St Modwen, confirming the independent cinema operator as the anchor leisure tenant at Skelmersdale Town Centre.
The news signals long term commitment to the town and is the latest milestone for the £10m scheme, which will bring 500 jobs and 50,000sq ft of retail, leisure and entertainment space to Skelmersdale.
Warrington-based regeneration specialist St Modwen has been working in partnership with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and West Lancashire Borough Council since 2007 for the delivery of a comprehensive regeneration scheme in Skelmersdale town centre.
