Merseyside dental implants firm gets teeth into London market

MERSEYSIDE dental implant centre Evodental is expanding with the opening of its second state-of-the-art clinic in Heathrow to target the London market.

The growth of the Kowsley company follows a raft of investment from the Merseyside Special Investment Fund now totalling £1m.

Evodental performs full jaw rehabilitation using implants as an alternative to failing conventional bridges, dentures or teeth.  Patients typically require this treatment as a result of severe tooth decay, gum disease, facial bone loss or damage caused through neglect, medical problems or accident.

The company uses cutting edge technology and biomaterials, and latest clinical techniques to treat patients.

Facilities include a laboratory in Huyton to design and create implant prosthetics, with the use of market leading 3D technology in the treatment plan and preparation stages to ensure the very best outcome for patients.

This has allowed the development of the “1-Day Smile” procedure, where a full set of teeth can be implanted in one day.

The business was founded in 2008 by Dr R P Vijayanarayanan (known as Dr Vijay), clinical director and principal surgeon, working alongside brother Manoj (commercial and technology director), managing director Steve O’Brien and Professor Paul Coulthard, head of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Manchester University School of Dentistry, is clinical director for research and development.

The team has recently been boosted with the appointments of finance director Paul Coburn and non-executive director Andrew Thirk a former director of Ultralase and current director of Age Partnership.
