Liverpool firm recognised at Smart City Expo World Congress

RED Ninja, a Liverpool based design-led technology studio, has been given the Urban Solutions award at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona.
The company, which specialises in mobile and web application development, sensor technology, data integration, design and machine learning, attended the expo as part of the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) delegation.
The Urban Solutions award was developed by Ferrovial Services, in conjunction with UKTI to recognise excellence in the urban services space.
Red Ninja was awarded the prize for its innovative work on mobility sensor solutions and will work with Ferrovial on a pilot project in Spain. It will also form part of the Ferrovial Services Innovative Solutions Catalogue used by their teams to bid for work globally.
Jordy Van Kuijk, chief operating officer at Red Ninja, said: “The Smart City Expo World Congress is key to getting our technology products and services exposed on the international smart cities market and the UKTI teams in both the UK and Barcelona have been instrumental in enabling us to do this.
“Winning this award means more than simply enhancing brand awareness or cementing credibility within this market, it offers an opportunity to work with a global innovative firm specialised in urban solutions and to work together to deploy and pilot one of Red Ninja’s intelligent mobility sensor solutions in Spain to demonstrate its value and build the business case.”
