ZENOFFICE, the Oldham-based business supplies company has strengthened its senior management team after a record year which saw sales rising 28% to £14.3m.
Managing director Les Kerr is to take a more strategic role as he becomes group chief executive, while commercial director Bruce Davie has been promoted to managing director.
Kerr said: “Bruce has had an excellent three years at ZenOffice and the time is right for him to take over the day to day running so I can concentrate on the strategic growth of the business, which will primarily be through acquisitions.”
ZenOffice has now recorded six consecutive years of growth. Since 2009 turnover has grown by 230%, from £4.3m to £14.3m in 2015.

WOOD waste recycler and animal bedding manufacturer Plevin has promoted Gareth Mason to group operations manager.
Gareth has been employed as sales manager at Mossley-based Plevin since February 2014, promoting the company’s Snowflake and Woodpecker pet and equine bedding brands. He also managed the incoming waste wood process for its recycling facilities.
His previous experience holds him in good stead to enable the company to refocus on operational development, improving efficiencies across the four Plevin sites in Mossley, Hazlehead in South Yorkshire, Elkesley, Notts and Boston – Lincs.

LAW firm Napthens has bolstered its Employment and HR team ith the appointment of solicitor Carley Kerrs-Walton.
She joins the firm’s East Lancashire office in Blackburn from GLP Solicitors in Manchester, where she trained and qualified.
Oliver McCann, partner in the employment team and head of Napthens’ East Lancashire office, said: “Carley brings significant experience and expertise in employment tribunal litigation, which will prove extremely beneficial to our clients and makes her a very welcome addition to the team.”

CHESHIRE wealth management firm Equilibrium Asset Management has continued its expansion with the appointment of three new recruits.
Matthew Wincott and Kai Ansari join as client managers, while Phoebe Benta has been hired as an events coordinator.
Wincott is a former analyst with nine years’ financial management experience and joins Equilibrium from Risk & Reward consulting. He specialises in inheritance tax planning and pensions.
Ansari has two years’ experience working in funds and investment and joins from financial and business consultancy threesixty services, while Phoebe Benta was previously a conference and events operations supervisor at Mottram Hall Hotel.

ST Modwen, the regeneration specialist, has strengthened its team with the appointment of chartered town planner Will Martin as planning manager.
Martin has more than 10 years’ experience in the property sector, having previously worked in local authority and private practice at DPP and Deloitte.
He will be responsible for overseeing the planning process for new sites and planning applications for redevelopment at current sites across residential, industrial and commercial property as well as appraising land for development opportunities across the North West, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East.
Martin said: “St Modwen has an outstanding reputation as a regeneration expert so I am delighted to join the team. I look forward to playing a key role in securing new development opportunities and building the region’s already impressive portfolio through the redevelopment of existing sites across the North.”

HIMOR in Carrington, Greater Manchester, has added two new recruits to its growing team.
The land team has been strengthened by the arrival of Matt Whiteley, who joins the company from Peter Brett Associates, where he spent more than seven years working as a senior associate.
His role at HIMOR will be focused primarily on the Future Carrington project, where HIMOR is working in partnership with Trafford Council to develop a vision for a vibrant mixed-use community on the former Shell processing site.
Mark Hope joins HIMOR to bolster the finance team, and brings with him many years of experience, most recently working for Sharman Multicom in Manchester.
