UK’s first new build Pullman opens in city

THE first new build Pullman in the UK has been officially opened in Liverpool by Mayor Joe Anderson at a ribbon-cutting event attended by VIP guests and business leaders from the city.

Situated at King’s Dock on Liverpool’s waterfront and adjoining ACC Liverpool, the newly-built hotel featuries 216 rooms, an all day dining restaurant called Dukes and a bar and lounge with views of the River Mersey.

Anderson was met by general manager Neil Brailsford at the towering hotel that boldly looks over to city, with panoramic views spanning all the way from Moel Fammau in North Wales to Liverpool FC’s new Main Stand development.

Guests enjoyed Champagne and canapes in the chic lobby of the Pullman Hotel and took a guided tour around the four star hotel, which offers a range of en suite room types.

Brailsford said: “We are extremely proud the Pullman has chosen Liverpool to open its first UK new build hotel. Liverpool is the perfect home for the Pullman, with its vibrant atmosphere, unique character and excellent location right on the waterfront.

“We have had some excellent feedback from guests attending the launch, and we look forward to welcoming guests from all over the world in the coming months.”

Pullman Liverpool is part of the on-going investment on Liverpool waterfront and is the latest addition to the ACC Liverpool campus, which is home to BT Convention Centre, Echo Arena and Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

It will be operated by Branded Hotel Management under a franchisee agreement from Accor Hotels & Resorts.

Anderson said: “This magnificent hotel is the latest chapter in the continued investment on Liverpool’s waterfront maintaining the city’s drive to be not only be a key regional destination for leisure, conferences, exhibitions and events but also a ‘City of Choice’ across Europe and the wider markets.

“I wish everyone involved in bringing the brand to our city the best of luck and visitors to Liverpool who are guests of the hotel a memorable time.”

The hotel boasts three meeting rooms, a Connectivity Lounge, Fit Lounge with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, dedicated Executive floor with access corridor to the exhibition centre, a sleek Executive Lounge with seating for 35 people, and a multi-function room, that can be divided into two smaller rooms, with capacity for up to 100.
