Contracts flooding in for safety specialist

CONSTRUCTION design and management safety specialist HFL:CDM, part of the Haden Freeman Engineering Group, is celebrating after sealing than £500,000 of contracts in the last six-months.

Despite only launching last year, the Denton, Greater Manchester company  has rapidly made a name for itself when it comes to helping engineering and construction companies navigate important changes to health and safety regulations which came into force in April 2015.

The business now has 10 full-time staff, and boasts Elstree-based producer of human plasma products, BPL, Teesside-based biopharmaceutical firm, Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, and Naphthalene Sulfonate product manufacturer, Geo Speciality Chemicals, among its biggest clients.

Ian Dunkley, project director for HFL:CDM said: “The health and safety changes have had a significant impact on those undertaking projects in construction, engineering and the process industries, and we’ve been working hard to make sure those affected really understand their duties when it comes to CDM, as well as the potential consequences of not having the right processes and individuals in place to oversee health and safety.”
