Work starts on £15m care facility near Chester

BUILDING has started on a state-of-the-art new £15m care facility on Heath Lane, to the west of Chester city centre.

Located in an area characterised by older, converted stock, care facilities, the new 81-bed purpose-built care centre will create approximately 70 jobs and is being built by New Care.

Part of the McGoff Group, New Care works with its build partner and principal contractor McGoff & Byrne, also part of the McGoff Group, throughout the entire design and construction process.

McGoff Group claims to provide a ‘one stop shop’ approach naturally de-risking the development process while adding value and enhancing growth.

The group’s sixth care development, the three storey, 42,591sq ft facility in Chester will provide a clinical offering including residential, general nursing and specialist dementia care services.

New Care chief executive Chris McGoff, said:  “We are delighted to have started work on our superb new 81-bed care home in Chester and are pleased to be providing the city with a truly modern, purpose-built care facility that will deliver high quality care with first class services.

“The plans for the new care facility are fantastic.  Build is underway now and we are looking forward to the development taking shape in the coming months.”

The facility is due for completion early next year.
