Warrington Business Park gets makeover

WARRINGTON Business Park, owned by charity Warrington Training Trust, has undergone a £200,000 refurbishment.

Based on Long Lane, the business park provides accommodation for start-up businesses and SMEs and is currently home to 60 businesses, employing more than 300 people.

The refurbishment took nine months to complete and involved the overhaul of the accommodation on part of the site to replace the existing office doors, windows, ceilings, carpets and heating systems.

Barry Dunnett, finance manager for Warrington Training Trust, said:  “Our intention is to provide local small and medium sized companies with affordable office accommodation so their business has a base to grow from.

“Over the years we have consistently invested in the Park to ensure its facilities are updated and this latest project is a continuation of that approach.”

Over £1m has been spent on the development of the park since the trust bought it in 1990, and it has 165 offices ranging in size from 130 sq ft to 850 sq ft, available on both flexible and long-term leases.

Funding for the refurbishment was provided by The Royal Bank of Scotland’s commercial banking team.

Suzanne Reynolds, relationship manager for the bank, said:  “The park has been refurbished to a high standard and looks impressive. The new accommodation will provide businesses with an ideal base given its location close to the local motorway network.”
