Code Computerlove poaches Buchanan

DIGITAL marketing agency Code Computerlove has poached Steve Buchanan from MediaCom North.

Buchanan has joined Manchester-based Code as client services director and will also handle business development. He’ll work with clients including Brother, Berghaus, Beaverbrooks, First Group and Chester Zoo.

The appointment follows last week’s departure of Code managing director Andrew Davenport.
 
Buchanan has worked in digital media for more than 10 years, spending most of that time at MediaCom North – part of WPP’s MediaCom UK group, where he was a member of the company’s digital board and board of directors.
 
He said: “Now is an exciting time to be joining Code as they look to cement their position as industry leaders and grow in size and stature through the delivery of increasingly innovative and effective digital solutions. I’m confident that my experience, skills and determination will add impetus to this progression.”
 
Code, a £4.5m turnover business, employs more than 50 staff. It has picked up a number of new business wins over the past few weeks, including GMG Radio’s Smooth.
