Hill Dicks’ revenues up 10%

LIVERPOOL-based law firm Hill Dickinson has announced a 10% increase in turnover for the first halfo of its 2010/11 financial year.

The firm saw turnover of £46m for the six months to October 31, compared with £41.8m for the same period in 2009/10.

Managing partner, Peter Jackson, said: “These latest results put us on course to achieve our long term goal of becoming a £100m law firm, by the end of 2010.

“Our recent acquisition of both the Halliwells Liverpool team and Halliwells Sheffield office is already paying dividends.

“As our 200th year in existence draws to a close, we are happy to see our figures reflecting continued growth.”

Hill Dickinson had looked at taking over all of doomed rival Halliwells, but could not agree terms to take the insurance business – one of the most attractive assets.

The firm also has offices in Chester, Manchester, London, Piraeus in Greece and Singapore.
