Lettings Latest: The Rock brings in Spa operator; US Airways flies into Bruntwood’s Plaza; and more

THE Rock shopping and leisure complex in Bury has signed up two new tenants as visitor numbers have topped 4m.
The centre, which is owned by Hammerson following the collapse of initial developer Thornfield Properties prior to its opening in July, has added a new spa to its mix after operator The Beauty Spa took on 1,116 sq ft of space within the development’s leisure quarter.
It has been joined by oriental bugffet restaurant operator Flaming Dragon, which has taken 7,800 sq ft.
David Laycock, centre director for The Rock, said: “It is encouraging to see the level of interest in The Rock growing. We had our busiest month in October and this continues to grow as we gear up for Christmas. To reach the four million visitor-mark within just five months of opening is testament to the high calibre retail and leisure offering we have created for Bury and the increasing footfall level is proof of the hunger for such a scheme in the region.”
The Rock was advised by consultants Nolan Redshaw.
