NORTH West IT consultancy Xantus celebrated its tenth year in business with a 47% surge in profits in the 12 months to the end of June.

The Cheadle-based company which works with major corporates such as Birds Eye, Boots and Heinz, government departments and other public sector organisations, saw pre-tax profits soar 47% to £1.4m in the same period.

Revenues climbed 36% in the same timescale, from £8.4m to £11.4m.

Mr Ross said the past year had been one of ‘investment and development’ for Xantus, which was founded by chief executive Steve Whatmough and now employs more than 80 people.

Among the milestones achieved during the year were the launch of a new office in London, the appointment of three new associate directors, new client gains and increased profile in  national and sector press.

He added: “Xantus believes that the market for independent IT advisory servics remains strong as our clients continue to invest in IT-enabled business change to support their future business objectives.”
