BUG busting company Byotrol has appointed Ralph Kugler and Dr Till Medinger as non-executive directors.

BUG busting company Byotrol has appointed Ralph Kugler and Dr Till Medinger as non-executive directors.

Mr Kugler, aged 53, is a non-executive director of Intercontinental Hotels Group and is chairman of the board’s remuneration committee. He is also chairman of Gorkana, and a senior advisor to private equity firm 3i.

He was previously an executive director on the board of Unilever from 2005 to 2008 and was president of Unilever’s global home & personal care categories from 2005.

Dr Medinger, aged 68, was formerly senior vice president for corporate strategy at AstraZeneca and prior to that had a long career with Zeneca and ICI Pharmaceuticals, directing business and marketing operations internationally and overseeing the launch of several global blockbuster products. 

He is chairman of PhotoBiotics and a non-executive director of Datapharm Communications and Polytherics. 

Wesley Devoto OBE will stand down as non-executive chairman and as a director in June. Mr Devoto led the board through the initial stages of the company’s development, the 2005 AIM flotation, and two subsequent fund raisings.

Stephen Falder, deputy chairman and business development director, will chair board meetings on an interim basis.

MANCHESTER-based chartered accountants and tax advisors Lopian Gross Barnett has appointed Jonathan Brodie as a partner.

Mr Brodie, who joins from PricewaterhouseCoopers in Manchester, will be responsible for developing new business and assisting start-ups.

SUE Craven, group managing director of Work Group plc, is to retire from the board.

Ms Craven will relinquish her responsibilities from July 31.Sue Craven, Armstrong Craven

Simon Howard, executive chairman at Work Group plc, said: “We would like to thank Sue for her significant contribution to the Company and to wish her well in the future.”

Sue Craven said:”While I’m very sad to be leaving, I know that despite these really tough times, the group is in great shape, with the people and ambition to make a difference”.
