Rural insurer opens Bury office

INSURER NFU Mutual is to open its new office at Waterfold Business Park in Bury next week.

Leigh Shackleton, general manager at NFU Mutual, will officially open the office and Councillor John Byrne, the Mayor of Bury, will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony.

NFU mutual, which specialises in insurance to farmers and rural communities, said that it remained committed to providing a local service while others in the sector are closing local offices.

Agent Liz Ward, who heads a team of 12 people at the office, said: “People have always valued good service from local businesses and our philosophy has always been to provide an attentive and personal service for clients, whether talking to them on the phone, face-to-face in the office or visiting them at their business or in their home.”
