Appointments: Fiona Parkes joins Barclays Corporate; Key duo for Keoghs

BARCLAYS Corporate has appointed Fiona Parkes as relationship director.

Parkes joins from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) where she spent six years, initially in sales finance and more recently as a relationship director in the commercial banking division working with businesses from a variety sectors, including manufacturing, retail, wholesale and charities.

At Barclays she will concentrate on larger businesses specialising in retail and wholesale both with an existing portfolio and new business responsibilities.

LAW firm Keoghs, has appointed Carrie Hoey as partner specialising in disease claims and Andrew Spice as commercial director.

The appointments follow another year of rapid expansion in which headcount increased by 12% to 827, creating 88 new jobs across the firm’s Bolton, Coventry and Manchester sites.

Previously an associate at Halliwells, Carrie Hoey joins Keoghs’ expanding disease team and will act for the firm’s insurer clients in claims relating to asbestos exposure, deafness, hand-arm vibration syndrome and other work-related illnesses.

Andrew Spice joins from Royal Mail Group where he held a number of senior appointments, latterly leading the Post Office’s Financial Services division.
