Care homes firm finds new Stockport HQ
CARE home operator Borough Care Ltd has bought the 4,385 sq ft Stanley House building at Acorn Business Park in Stockport for use as its new headquarters.

CARE home operator Borough Care Ltd has bought the 4,385 sq ft Stanley House building at Acorn Business Park in Stockport for use as its new headquarters.

The company, which operates 12 care homes throughout Stockport, is also growing the amount of community-based services it offers and has bought the purpose-built headquarters as it is closer to Stockport’s town centre than its current HQ and has better transport links.

The company was advised on the purchase, for an undisclosed sum, by property consultancy GVA and law firm Squire Sanders Hammonds.

Borough Care’s Christine Rush said: “There were a number of issues to contend with surrounding the relocation from our existing offices at Lisburne House.

“We utilised our already strong relationship with GVA, who have undertaken numerous new-build and refurbishment schemes for us in the past, to establish our optimum requirement and to search the market.

“Using GVA’s team of professionals to manage and expedite the acquisition process, we were able to complete the deal by the end of 2010.”
