Humberstones expands with bank finance

LANCASHIRE jeweller, Humberstones, has opened a new shop in Blackburn after securing funding from Yorkshire Bank.

The new 500 sq ft shop at The Mall Blackburn will operate under the Pandora brand and employ 17 staff.

Blackburn-based Humberstones, which has over 60 years in the jewellery trade, is an agent for a number of high-end brands.

It has two other branches in the region, in Barrowford, near Nelson, and Blackburn. According to the company sales have increased by 40% over the past three years.

Company secretary Colin Humberstone said: “The business had a very successful Christmas and New Year period and our new location allows us to offer the best choice of Pandora jewellery in Lancashire. We have established a very successful working relationship with Yorkshire Bank and are delighted with the support we have received to expand our business.”

Pandora designs, manufactures and markets hand finished and modern jewellery which is sold in more than 50 countries.
