DWF wins ‘law firm of year’ award

LAW firm DWF, has been named ‘national law firm of the year’ in the Legal Business Awards 2011.
The firm, which has offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Leeds and London, was recognised to the progress it has made in the last year towards meeting its goal of becoming a top 30 law firm.
The award was presented to DWF at a gala dinner in London last week.
Managing partner Andrew Leaitherland commented: “The award is recognition of our values in action. It reflects our continuing period of rapid growth, key client acquisitions and a string of impressive lateral hires.
“I truly believe that we have exceptional people who work tremendously hard to deliver the highest quality service to our clients. This award is testimony to that.”
DWF has become one of the highest climbing firms in the ‘Legal Business 100’, increasing its revenue by 111% from £33.9m to £71.5m in the last five years.
DWF’s digit increase in turnover equates to a nine place leap in the Legal Business 100 to 42nd place, leaving its top 30 goal within sight.
The firm has recently relocated its Manchester office to Scott Place, Spinningfields, placing it at the heart of the city’s business district.
