Bglobal signs new meter deal

SMART metering specialist Bglobal has signed a deal to install its equipment for energy supplier Opus Energy.
Darwen-based Bglobal said its subsidiary, Bglobal Metering, will supply, install and service its latest generation of smart electricity meters to Opus customers from March. It will also supply data collection and analysis services.

“Opus Energy has identified Bglobal’s expertise in smart metering deployment and data analysis as key factors in helping to provide the best service for their customers.”
Charlie Crossley Cooke, managing director of Northampton-based Opus Energy, said: “Opus Energy was the first company to provide customers with free smart meters and has now fitted over 14,000.”
