Nobles wins construction deals worth £8m

NOBLES Construction has started the year with a string of new contract wins worth a combined £8m.

The Liverpool-based firm said that the contracts won were mainly in the health and education sectors.

They include a £2.1m deal to extend buildings at St Margaret’s CofE Primary school in Warrington, a £1.8m contract to refurbish wards at Aintree Hospital and a refurbishment of Nathan House at the Christie Hospital site at Didsbury in Greater Manchester, which will contain a new day case chemotherapy unit and administration area.

Peter Linford, director at Nobles Construction, said: “We are obviously delighted to have secured more work in these sectors. We are continuing to perform well despite the economic slump which has hit the property industry incredibly hard.

He said that much of the work that the firm is winning is from existing clients.

“Going forward and as budgets continue to tighten, we see the refurbishment market as a strong growth area for us.”
